Needle Exchange Changes

There have been some recent changes to the Needle and Syringe Exchange Program, including site changes of both the Fremantle and Gosnells services.

The Fremantle fixed location has closed and is pending relocation. A van service is currently running in it's place in Queens Square (corner of Parry Street and High Street). The van's operating hours are Monday 4pm - 6pm and Wednesday 11am - 2pm. A new site is currently being confirmed and will be promoted soon. 

The Gosnells van has also relocated from it's current site on Lissiman Street Gosnells to 2 Canning Park Avenue Maddington. Service at the new Maddington site will commence from 4pm - 6pm on Friday the 9th June. 

The WA AIDS Council Needle and Syringe Exchange (NSEP) continues to provide services to people who inject drugs, including the provision of needle and syringe units, barrels and tips free on exchange or at a low cost, as well as saffe disposal of used injecting equipment. The service also provides safe sex equipment, user friendly advice, inmformation and referral services.
