Doctors have called for more inclusive and more extensive sexual health education for teenagers, after a spike in syphilis notifications, plus failings in current education.
A 2013 La Trobe University survey found almost half the young people surveyed didn't think their school's sexual education was relevant.
They said it didn't involve relationship advice and ignored same-sex issues.
