Working with Evidence

Getting information and resources to where people need them requires an embrace of modern technology and communication opportunities. Building social media platforms targeted at specific and clearly defined audiences is central to our communications strategy. In-built interactivity allows us to hear from more of our communities, more often and more quickly. Enhanced analysis of our consumer data helps us to measure our impact and to identify gaps in our services, and at the same time improve access to services and resources beyond the Perth metropolitan area. Working closely with researchers internationally, nationally and locally ensures we are able to respond quickly to emerging trends.

Now more than ever, technology is expanding our reach and adding to more than 10,000 direct occasions of service delivered each year.

Our Mission

To minimise the impact and further transmission of HIV, other blood borne viruses and sexually transmissible infections. To reduce social, legal and policy barriers which prevent access to health information and effective support and prevention services.
